Bookkeeping Built by a CFO
Tapestry Bookkeeping is the bookkeeping arm of Jackson CFO, based in Western North Carolina and serving small businesses across the US remotely.
CFO-built financials, delivered on time and kept to the standard a bank would expect, at a flat price you can plan around.
Why Tapestry started
I spent years working with small businesses and kept running into the same problem: bookkeeping was either too expensive or too unreliable. Hourly firms billed for every question, punishing you for staying informed, while cheap services delivered late, inaccurate work, or sometimes nothing at all. Owners ended up paying too much, getting too little, or doing it themselves at midnight.
I started Tapestry Bookkeeping to prove small businesses don't have to choose between price and delivery. Predictable monthly pricing means you know the cost before we start. And because we price on volume, not hours, our incentive is to be efficient and deliver, not to run the meter. Efficient systems and low overhead keep the price at bookkeeping rates, so more of what you pay goes into insight. A disciplined process, built and overseen by a CFO, keeps the quality high.
The name Tapestry reflects how we see a small business: many interwoven threads, like sales, expenses, payroll, and cash. Good bookkeeping weaves them into one clear picture you can actually use.
Bookkeeping led from a CFO's perspective
I lead the practice the way a CFO would run an accounting function: designing the right processes and systems for your business, so the books don't just get done, they work for you. Automation handles the routine work, experienced people handle the judgment calls, and every close is reviewed against a CFO standard before it's delivered.
The right processes & systems
A CFO's perspective means designing what your business actually needs, from a clean chart of accounts to a disciplined month-end workflow.
A CFO firm behind you
Tapestry is part of Jackson CFO. When you need forecasting, financing, or a sale, the advisory team already knows your numbers.
Quality oversight
As practice lead, I set the standards and make sure every deliverable meets them before it goes out.
Depth, not volume
We take on a limited client roster so every set of books gets real attention.

Bookkeeping with a CFO behind it
Before starting Tapestry Bookkeeping, I watched small businesses get squeezed from both directions: hourly firms that billed for every question, and cut-rate services that delivered late, inaccurate work. Predictable pricing fixes both problems. You know the cost before we start, and our job is to deliver, not to run the meter.
Tapestry is the bookkeeping arm of Jackson CFO, my fractional CFO and transaction advisory firm. Our process pairs modern automation with experienced people, and I set the standard every close is held to, the one a lender or buyer would expect. I oversee the quality of every close and brief.
